There are songs inside all of us. Here’s your chance to let them blossom. Gain insight into your creative process with singer-songwriter/producer Greg Trafidlo. Tap into your imagination and creative potential through short, enjoyable, imagery exercises. Writing assignments, mental free-form exercises, and creative problem-solving techniques will foster musical expression. A basic understanding of music is useful, but not required. The workshop covers song structure, lyric form, melody writing, and melding your words with music. The emphasis will be on personal expression, insight and fun. Greg Trafidlo has performed on over 50 albums, including twelve of his own with folk trio, Trifolkal. He has penned numerous songs and won many song writing competitions. He is also certified as an advanced trainer in the Bonny Method of Guided Imagery and Music (Music Evoked imagery). Greg has shared the stage with Emmylou Harris, Kathy Mattea, Bill Monroe, Peter Yarrow, John Prine and others. Many performers including Pete Seeger and Steve Gillette and Cindy Mangsen have performed his songs. He recently performed at Nashville’s historic, Ryman Auditorium during Fan Fair. Greg has two Wammy nominations, for best Folk Male Vocalist and Best Folk Album. Roanoke, Virginia’s City Magazine, named him “Music Person of the Decade.”
